Miniature Memories with Isobel and Van

Build and photograph your miniature room 

Audience: 7+  (suitable for ages above 7 including adults)

Where do you spend most of your time? During lockdown, Isobel & Van spent most of their time in one room of their house, and they recreated this room in miniature from memory in their exhibition Take Me With You, currently on display at The Riddoch.

Think about the furniture and objects in your house. What can you remember about the objects in your bedroom? Choose a template to create and decorate an item that is in your room, then make smaller objects like toys, books and games to go with it, using card, coloured paper, textas, polymer clay and fabrics. Once you’re finished, Isobel and Van will help you photograph it in the same way they photographed their own miniature objects, and print out this photo to take home.

Cost: $20 or $15 conc.*
*If an adult guardian is attending with child only the child needs to pay (concession price). If the adult is also participating (creating their own miniature) then an additional booking and payment is required.
