Reconciliation Week – Colouring in competition

Event Time: Fri 27 May - Fri 3 June

Event Type: ,

National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

This year The Riddoch has created six colouring in sheets exploring the dual naming of significant sites across our city, an important step in acknowledging the Boandik Peoples as the Traditional Owners and custodians of the land where Mount Gambier (Berrin) sits today.

Download the sheets below, or visit The Riddoch during Reconciliation Week (Friday 27 May – Friday 3 June) to colour at our colouring in station.

WIN!!! Enter your best colouring in sheet to win a kid’s prize pack, which includes:
– a copy of ‘Annie’s Story’ (a book written by local Boandik Elder Aunty Michelle Jacquelin-Furr)
– 24 pack of coloured pencils
– postcard design pack

Prize valued at approx $50.

To enter, send a photo of the completed colouring in sheet (one entry per child), along with their name and age to riddoch@mountgambier.sa.gov.au, or drop it off in person at The Riddoch.
Entries open Friday 27 May and close Friday 3 June 2022

We acknowledge the Boandik Peoples as the traditional custodians of the land we meet on today. We respect their spiritual relationship with the land and recognise the deep feelings of attachment our First Nations Peoples have with the land.
