Storytelling through Illustration with Fruzsi Kenez
Event Date: Sat 04 May
Event Time: 10.30 AM - 1.30 PM
Event Location: Riddoch Studio
Event Type: Workshops
This workshop with Adelaide-based ceramicist and illustrator Fruzsi Kenez focuses on the art of finding magic in ordinary moments, and releasing the fear of putting brush to paper.
Finding the magic in quiet, seemingly ordinary events is how Fruzsi approaches her illustrated stories, which start with a single, simple moment, such as an unravelling ball of yarn or wondering about a missing piece of cheese. This 3 hour workshop will also include watercolour techniques and exercises and some wonderful mind- opening crafty challenges to get you thinking outside the square.
The workshop fee covers three hours of tuition, all professional quality materials including brushes, watercolour paints and tools, in addition to fun surprise materials as well as a take-home kit for continued work including a Moleskine journal and fineline pen. There will also be a small afternoon tea.
No experience necessary.
Cost: $99 per person
Suitable for ages 14 and older
Limited spaces available. To book your place please contact Riddoch Art Gallery on 08 8721 2563. Payment is required prior to the commencement of the workshop, with a $50 deposit required upon booking.
