Amaya Gamage

1 - 30 April
Southlink

In celebration of World Autism Awareness Day on 2 April, The Riddoch is proud to present the work of local artist Amaya Gamage.

Amaya is a 13-year-old girl who loves to draw. She uses art as a hobby, for relaxation and as a means of communication.

Amaya has a unique way of drawing the characters in her mind and while she mainly draws animals, lately she has been dabbling in word art in different languages.

This exhibition will also feature work from her new book Amaya’s Animal Alphabet, which will be launched at the Mount Gambier Library on Sunday 7 April 11.30am.

We acknowledge the Boandik Peoples as the traditional custodians of the land we meet on today. We respect their spiritual relationship with the land and recognise the deep feelings of attachment our First Nations Peoples have with the land.
