Uniting Communites with Creative Arts

The latest Creative Arts fund project has been completed, with a bright colourful mural on the Uniting Communities building on Helen Street.

Community members assisted the artist in contributing to the mural’s ethos and aesthetic, and gained therapeutic value in exploring art creation during the live painting of this installation which engaged artists Zhuzhu and Taopic.

The theme ‘Proud to be yourself’ delivers a message of self-love, self-acceptance and hope to the community of Mount Gambier.

This is one of the projects supported by the City of Mount Gambier’s Creative Arts Fund, and can be seen on 2A & 2B Helen Street.

We acknowledge the Boandik Peoples as the traditional custodians of the land we meet on today. We respect their spiritual relationship with the land and recognise the deep feelings of attachment our First Nations Peoples have with the land.
