Artists’ Talk – Margaret Worth

Event Date: Sat 09 Sep

Event Time: 11:00 AM

Event Location: The Riddoch Foyer & Galleries

Event Type:

Join curator Eleanor Scicchitano for a floortalk on the life and work of Margaret Worth.

Margaret Worth is an award winning South Australian based artist and designer. Her work is represented in national and state art collections and in private collections in Australia and the United States of America.

From her time in the 1960s at the South Australian School of Art, to living in New York and then returning to Australia in the 1980s with her young family, her work prompts us to contemplate the seemingly simple, yet ultimately complex ruminations and interrogations of art, life, and science.

“Curiosity about the physics of the world, people and their connection to environment is what drives me.”

Margaret will join the discussion for a brief Q&A after the talk.

Margaret Worth: Earth & Ether catalogues will also be available for purchase.

Free event. Bookings not required.

We acknowledge the Boandik Peoples as the traditional custodians of the land we meet on today. We respect their spiritual relationship with the land and recognise the deep feelings of attachment our First Nations Peoples have with the land.
