The Riddoch Arts and Cultural Centre are excited to announce that they are hosting a satellite program as part of the National Visual Art Education Conference (NVAEC). NVAEC is presented by the National Gallery of Australia.
Join us for NVAEC 2026
Start online from home on Monday 19 January and Tuesday 20 January, then join us in person at The Riddoch on Wednesday 21 January 2026 for a special day of interactive events. By purchasing an Online Ticket to the conference attendees can access Monday and Tuesday keynotes and workshops online, before joining the in-person satellite event on Wednesday 21 January at The Riddoch.

About NVAEC
Presented by the NGA, NVAEC brings together teachers, artists, cultural practitioners, and thought-leaders to inspire and energise best-practice teaching and learning in visual arts. This nationally accredited program offers 13.5 hours of professional development for educators across schools, arts, health, and community sectors.
The 2026 program includes keynote addresses from Tony Albert, artists from After the Rain—the 5th National Indigenous Art Triennial—and international guests, plus workshops, gallery experiences, performances, social gatherings, and Teachers’ Voice presentations.
Presented alongside After the Rain under the Artistic Direction of Tony Albert (Girramay/Yidinji/Kuku-Yalanji peoples), the conference explores themes of rebirth, cleansing, and cultural legacies through immersive projects and thought-provoking dialogue.
