Screen-printing Masterclass with Alison Alder

Event Date: Sat 30 Jul

Event Time: 10:30 AM - 2:30 PM

Event Location: Art Studio

Event Type:

Alison Alder is a visual artist whose work blurs the line between studio, community and social/political art practice. She has been screen-printing for over 40 years, and was formerly Head of Printmedia and Drawing at the Australian National University School of Art and Design. Her work has been exhibited in numerous key Australian exhibitions including, most recently, Know My Name at the National Gallery of Australia in Canberra.
In this workshop students will learn how basic screen-printing techniques can be used to create richly layered multi-coloured prints. This class will provide students with the ideas and methods to make prints at home without the need for expensive equipment or materials. A unique opportunity to learn from this amazing artist and educator!
