SPACE TO DREAM

Various Young Artists

15 Jan - 18 Apr 2022
King's Floor

Space to Dream is an annual digital challenge in which South Australia’s Commissioner for Children and Young People, Helen Connolly, invites South Australian students to design a toy or gadget for someone their age who is ‘moving to Mars’. The challenge was devised to inspire the next generation of space entrepreneurs and innovators.

This year an estimated 10,080 students completed the challenge! This touring exhibition showcases the top-rated entries, including a Medi-Robot, a Magnet Book, and a Pet Box that transforms into any pet you want! There’s a ‘Foodotron’ that turns rubbish into food and ‘Zero Gravity Fins’ that help you swim in space! Not to mention the winner ‘The New and Improved Fix Bot’ designed to fix spacecrafts.

More information about the challenge can be found at:

Proudly presented by Commissioner for Children and Young People, South Australia in partnership with Makers Empire.

We acknowledge the Boandik Peoples as the traditional custodians of the land we meet on today. We respect their spiritual relationship with the land and recognise the deep feelings of attachment our First Nations Peoples have with the land.
