St Martins Lutheran College Art Show 2023

Various artists

27 October - 5 November 2023
King's Floor

St Martins Lutheran College is proud to present its 2023 Art Show: ‘See. Make. Inspire.’

On display are artworks from students across the College’s Junior, Middle and Senior school, covering a diverse range of mediums and themes.

The exhibition represents thousands of hours work put in by the students, as well as support from the College’s very talented art staff.

Alongside the more traditional selection of impressionist paintings and hand drawn portraits you will find a substantial number of Pop Art and Digital art pieces, using new modes of expression, now  growing in popularity. The College is also proud to have Year 12 student Nikita Anderson, a Ngarrindjeri woman, presenting a series of First Nations artwork.

In addition to a series of awards judged by this year’s guest judge, celebrated local contemporary visual artist April Hague, there is an opportunity for you to vote in the ‘People’s Choice Award’.

Please take the time to tour the gallery and discover your favourite piece, seeking out what speaks to you the most. There really is something for everyone.

We acknowledge the Boandik Peoples as the traditional custodians of the land we meet on today. We respect their spiritual relationship with the land and recognise the deep feelings of attachment our First Nations Peoples have with the land.
