Meet the artist & live painting: Alison Mitchell

Event Date: Sat 01 Oct

Event Time: 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Event Location: The Riddoch Foyer

Event Type: ,

South Australian artist Alison Mitchell was born in Malaysia and her family moved to Mount Gambier in the mid sixties where she spent her primary and secondary school years.

Now based near Riverton in the mid north of SA, Alison works predominantly in watercolour and oils, and her still life painting is of a tradition deeply embedded in the practice of careful observation of things intentionally arranged and composed in the studio.

This is your opportunity to meet Alison as she paints live in our foyer and ask questions about her art practice.

Drop-in event, bookings not required.

Alison’s exhibition Unlemon – a meandering tale in citrus is on display at The Riddoch from Saturday 1 October until Sunday 13 November.
