Artist of the Week – Glenys Hughs

Another Wednesday, another spotlight on a local artist from the Riddoch Shop for #riddochathome.

Glenys Hughes enjoys working with soft luxurious fabrics to produce an extensive range of scarves, shawls, caps and beanies.

With a preference for using natural fibers, she has worked with many types of wool including alpaca, llama, mohair, sheep and merino, aswell as silk.

Her soft flowing silk scarves are created by using a range of eco-dyes from natural sources such as rose leaves and gum leaves.

We acknowledge the Boandik Peoples as the traditional custodians of the land we meet on today. We respect their spiritual relationship with the land and recognise the deep feelings of attachment our First Nations Peoples have with the land.
